The African Latitude team with a Kenyan registered company and another in Tanzania (Latitude Tz) have an intimate knowledge of the region. Many years spent organizing expeditions to the most inaccessible and remote parts of Africa have sharpened our skills and enabled us to master and solve the most acute logistical problems. The local partners are well versed with the workings of Kenyan and Tanzanian society and they handle the administrative part of operations: this allows us to accomplish the most delicate projects with the consent of the respective governments.

We have chosen Nairobi as the base of our organization due to the numerous facilities it possesses as the capital of a country that has modern infrastructure and also due to its rapidly expanding economy. But most important for the filmmaker is the amazing variety of natural scenery. While crossing the Rift Valley the variations in altitude create real microcosms. Within the span of some kilometers one can go from desert to equatorial forest to the glaciers of the highest summits of Africa to the palm fringed beaches of the Indian Ocean. This rich panorama is matched by an equally grand human diversity.
